NEW DELHI: An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 struck Sikkim at about 25km East-Southeast of capital Gangtok at 8:50pm on Monday.
The epicenter is reported to be around 10km below the Earth’s surface.
Tremors were felt in several eastern states including Assam, Bihar and West Bengal, apart from Sikkim.
There is no report of damage to life and property. Further details are awaited.
